Who is Darrell Newkirk?
Serving CFA as one of the elected Directors at Large has been a rewarding experience for me. During my tenure on the Board, I have always considered the ramifications our desisions made on the International Division.
My wife Beth and I registered our cattery, Purssynian, with CFA in 1985. Our breeding program began, and has continued, based on our love of the Abyssinian breed. In addition to Abyssinians we have lived with and loved Birmans, Cornish Rex, Maine Coons, Persians, Scottish Folds and Somalis. From the beginning, I knew that I wanted to become a judge. I made application to CFA's judging program in June 1995.
Professionally I have been a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) since 1981. After completing studies to become a Registered Nurse, I moved to West Virginia and trained to become a Nurse Anesthetist. I subsequently attended Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, and in 1986 completed my undergraduate degree in Nursing with a Minor in Business Management. Beth and I now reside in Fairview Heights, IL.
Please feel free to call, or email, with any questions.
